Breathing Underwater by Alex Flinn
This was a great book. If I had to rate it, I'd say it
was a 4/5. Its about a 16 year old boy who used to hit his girlfriend, and
his father used to hit him. A judge sends him to an anger management class
where he learns to control his anger. Also, he has to keep a journal
explaining what exactly happened from when he met his girlfriend to when
they broke up and why he hit her. It is a good book, and Alex Flinn is a
great author. You should read it. Review by Bibi Baksh |

A fast speed, definitely interesting book. A page
turner, something you probably won't be able to put down without wondering
what happens next. An eye-opener with odd, grotesque points. Reviewed by

Flipped by Wendelin Draaen
Flipped was a very good book. I liked Juli's point of
view better than I liked Bryce's. I felt bad for Bryce at first because
Juli was chasing after him constantly. But later on I learned that she was
the one I should feel bad for. She never looked on how his character was,
she was too occupied on his looks. Bryce acted so inncocent at first, but
after a few chapters you could see that he was the attacker saying bad
stuff about Juli. Bryce should have never thrown away Juli's eggs. He
should have been honest with her. Eventually Juli will come to notice a
dramatic change in her life will do her bad. Review by Chrismole Dani
Flipped by Wendelin Draaen
Definately a story I can relate to as a middle school
student. I've "flipped" over many guys like Julianna did. For example, I
liked someone and they didn't like me, and then sooner or later, it flips,
they like me and I end up moving on. I really like the way I could see
things from both prespectives, because I could be thinking about something
that happend and then think, "Oh, how rude!" then I hear the other side of
the story and totally understand. The only thing is that when I got
interested in what was happening in the story and wanted to know what
happens next, the next chapter started telling the other point of veiw, so
it seemed to drag on in certain parts. Overall, I would rate this book a
definite 9! Review by Ashley D'Amboise
Flipped by Wendelin Draaen
Flipped was a very well written book that kept you
thinking. The book gave us the perspective of two diffrent people going
through eaither the same situation or something like it. The book though
boring at times gave the reader a sence of reality in situations that most
teenagers go through at least once in thier lives. While reading this i
nloticed some similaritys between the charactors and myself. It made me
relize that im not the only one who dose or feels certin things and that
its okay.Though i enjoyed the book in many ways the ending was a throw
off. Review by Samantha Montuoro.

I did not like the book i think the end was not good
because the end did not give the info on last part i think it was bad.

Flipped by Wendelin Draaen
I loved this book, and that's not very natural for me
since I started reading high school books in the beginning of fourth grade
it caught my attention and that's hard to do, I'm very picky on what book
I read, so that shows that this author is a great writer. It kept me
reading, hope there's a second book. I'd give it ten stars if I were a
judge. Reviewed by Josna Demosthenes

I liked the book
because you get to see the perspectives from both sides. It's interesting
to read this book because it shows how differently each one of us thinks
about something. Review by Sunu Cherian |

Medea by
Euripides
The story
about Medea is very interesting because you can view the story from
different perspectives. Many people think that what Medea did is wrong
but I have met many people who say what this deranged woman did is
right. I myself feel that what this woman did is wrong because, the
young children had nothing to do with what happened with her husband
Jason. This story is one of the many hair raisers. Review by Ruben

Raven's
Gate
by Anthony Horowitz
This is the first book in Mr. Horowitz's new
series "The Gatekeepers." It is an amazing, action-packed, fanfare of
magic, evil, and friendship. This novel follows the story of Matt. JUST
Matt. He doesn't much care for his last name seeing as he has no parents,
and lives with his mean aunt and her boyfriend. Matt is always getting in
trouble for stealing with his 'friend' Kevin. The story begins with Matt
and Kevin breaking into a deserted werehouse. They steal what ever fits in
thier pockets. But then, a guard comes and gets them. Kevin stabs the
guard, and this thrusts Matt into a conclusion: he is doing something
wrong. Later, Matt is sent to court and is used as a guiny pig in an
expirement called project LEAF. LEAF consists of Matt going to Lesser
Malling, a rural farm village with no electricity or contact with the
'real' world. Matt must live with Mrs. Deverill, and her black cat
Asmodaous. Matt instantly finds weird things happening, freaky chants from
Deverills room, strange lights outside his window at night, food that Mrs.
Deveril makes that causes Matt go into a coma for days at a time. Matt
decieds to investigate, and you won't belive what he finds! An excellent
read, filled with mystery, suspense, and horror! Read it, if you dare...

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
I enjoyed the book a little it was kind of
funny it also made my sister laugh when I read it to her. Since she's
little she can't read very well but she liked the book so much so she
wanted to read by herself. I was simply amazed but some parts of the book
I didn't understand... Okay most parts of the book I didn't understand.
But I think when she's older she would enjoy this really hard to
understand but funny book. Review by Codi Lawrence
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
This book is so cool! It has a little bit of
everything in it. Comedy, science fiction, romance... This book is in the
future and we're in it. But the way that it describes us, it makes me
think if i could really be true. That we die out due to oil or something
relating to oil... From this book I learned that it doesn't matter how you
look or how you're classified but your choice is what matters. Review by

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Well the book
is okay but not the best book I've ever read but I'll try to read the book
without falling asleep. But I just feel like I could be more interested
reading The Pettys. That sounds more interesting. I think maybe the main
reason why the book doesn’t really amuse me because I don’t really
understand what’s happening in the story and from reading what it says on
the back of the book I don’t think its my kind of book but I will continue
reading it for the sake of the S*T*A*R*S club. Thank you but I don’t mean
anything I just said it in a mean or bad way.
