Advanced Photo Techniques

BANNER MANAGER

  1. Find 6 new pictures you want to have on your zoos home page on the internet and save them to your computer in their own folder.
  2. Open the folder with your pictures in it and right click on your first picture and choose Open With > Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
  3. Choose the Thumbnail View button and then select all of your pictures.
  4. Click on the edit pictures button then choose resize.
  5. Select Predefined Width and Height, then click the blue arrow and change the setting to Web - Small (448x336)
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click File > Save, and exit the program.
  8. Open your homepage in Frontpage.
  9. Delete the picture on your home page.
  10. Click Insert > Web Component > Dynamic Effect > Banner Ad Manager.
  11. Change the width box to 448 and the height box to 336.
  12. Choose a transition effect and change the display each image box to 3 seconds.
  13. click the Add button and find where you saved  your 6 pictures and add each picture to the banner ad manager.
  14. Save and preview your page.

PHOTO GALLARY

  1. Complete steps 1-7 under BANNER MANAGER, but this time find 20 new pictures.
  2. Create a new page in Frontpage underneath your home page and call it "photo gallery"
  3. Open the photo gallery page.
  4. Click Insert > Web Component > Photo Gallery > then Click Finish
  5. Click the Add box > pictures from file.
  6. find the pictures you saved to your computer.
  7. select all of the pictures you saved and click open
  8. For each picture add a caption and change the width to 200 pixels.
  9. Click the Layout tab and choose a style for your photo gallery and click OK.
  10. Add a page banner and navigation to your Photo Gallery Page.
  11. Save and preview your page.
